Stara Gora is a small settlement in the Sveti Jurij ob Ščavnici municipality in northeastern Slovenia. It lies on a small hill just south of the valley of the river Ščavnica. Traditionally the area was part of Lower Styria and is now included in the Mura statistical region.[2]
The village church is dedicated to the Holy Spirit and belongs to the Sveti Jurij parish. It was built between 1674 and 1697.[3]
